Dennis Hassan

Biography

Dennis is a professor of scene design at Utah State University. An accomplished scenic designer, he has designed more than 150 professional productions for organizations such as the Old Lyric Repertory Company, Hale Center Theatre, Utah Festival Opera Company, Maine State Musical Theatre, ACT-Hawaii, and Southwest Shakekspeare. Dennis' designs have also been featured at Montclair State University, the Babcock Theatre, and regularly for Utah State Theatre.

Some of his favorite recent designs include Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie for the Hale Center Theatre and Macbeth and costumes for Tartuffe at Utah State Theatre. His most recent work includes Utah State Theatre's Alicia in Wonder Tierra and The Cherry Orchard. Last summer, Dennis designed the sets for The Dresser and Beau Jest. He lives in Logan with his wife Wendy and four children.
