Caine Scholars For Excellence

The Caine Scholars for Excellence program is made possible by the support of Dan C. and Manon Caine Russell through the Marie Eccles Caine Foundation–Russell Family.  As the Caine College’s most prestigious scholarship, the Caine Scholars for Excellence program strives to attract and retain exceptional and diverse students as majors.  It celebrates the research and creative activity of students in a variety of degree programs, supplementing and enriching curricula in Art + Design, Music, and Theatre.

Caine Scholars develop thoughtful and sophisticated perspectives on the purpose and importance of art in society as well as current issues impacting the arts.  Caine Scholars are supported by faculty mentors in thought-provoking discussions, community service opportunities, and group travel to arts-destinations.  They also gain special opportunities to interact with visiting artists and scholars, major donors, and leaders in the arts and the academy.  Through these opportunities and experiences, the Caine Scholars Program is cultivating the next generation of leaders in the arts.

Students can apply for the Caine Scholars for Excellence Program by filling out the application on Scholarship Universe. The application window is open between January 1 and March 15. Questions about the Caine Scholars for Excellence program can be directed to Emily Nelson (emily.nelson@usu.edu).
