A Note from the FSCMF Artistic Directors

All of us in the Fry Street Quartet had the privilege of being profoundly inspired by our summer music festival experiences as students. The magic of being immersed in the world of great chamber music with the guidance of accomplished mentors -- all the while making new friends who understood this otherwise indescribable passion -- created memories and relationships we all still treasure today. It is our hope with the Fry Street Chamber Music Festival to now give something of that back to the younger generation by cultivating such an atmosphere of inspiration and learning here at our home campus of Utah State University. Nestled in the mountains, our stunning physical environment already offers a magical atmosphere all on its own. But that, in combination with musical immersion, is the key. At summer camp the rest of life’s responsibilities recede. Practicing, lessons, rehearsals, concerts, and friendships get to be front and center. The result of spending focused time and energy in such an environment is transformational.

But it doesn’t end there. The energy of the student experience fans out into the community through the festival concert series — featuring the students themselves, the Fry Street Quartet, and incredible guest artists. It also includes master classes for anyone to attend. Join us for an incredible festival experience in 2023! -Rebecca for the Fry Street Quartet
