Shadow a Music Major Day

November 15-16, 2022

High school students who are interested in learning more about majoring in music are invited to participate in the Utah State University Music Department Shadow A Music Major Day. Students are invited to visit campus on November 15th or November 16th to observe classes, rehearsals, and private lessons, and hear from a panel of students and faculty about life as a music major at Utah State. Lunch will also be provided.

This will be a great event for students who are planning to major in music and for those who are considering a music major and would like to learn more about the experience of a music student. Classes and rehearsals will be of interest to students who are considering majors in Music Performance, Music Education, and Music Therapy. Below is a partial list of classes and rehearsals that students will be able to visit:

  • Music Theory
  • Aural Skills
  • Music History
  • Jazz History
