Biography
Lizzy Prettyman graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's of Music emphasis in Piano Pedagogy and a Master's of Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. She was the recipient of multiple academic and music scholarships and stipends during her time there and graduated cum laude. She has performed in venues across the state including Abravanel Hall and Temple Square, and has appeared on recordings broadcast on Utah Public Radio and the CD A Cold Winter's Night with the USU Chamber Singers. She is currently working with a producer on her own album, Cocktail Hour. Lizzy has been teaching private lessons since 2008, working with students from ages 4-50+. She enjoys teaching students one on one and also loves accompanying in any circumstance. She particularly enjoys working collaboratively with string players and vocalists or playing background music at private events. She has worked at USU as a collaborative artist for the past eleven years and has taught various group piano and keyboard harmony classes. She has worked as rehearsal pianist for Music Theater West and performed in the orchestra in most of their productions over the past three years.
