Dr. Emile studied conducting with Michael Charry and Louis Lane (Pittsburg Symphony), Thomas Briccetti (Omaha Symphony), Sir Brian Priestman (Miami Symphony), Robert Emile (Lincoln and San Diego symphonies), Harold Evans (University of Nebraska Opera Orchestra), and Tibor Kozma (Bloomington, Indiana). He has conducted professional, university and youth orchestras in California, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, Alabama, Utah, Idaho and Maryland. He is currently the conductor/music director of the Northern Utah Symphony Orchestra and the Cache Valley Orchestra. He is also the main conductor for the New American Philharmonic. He is the personnel manager of the American Festival Orchestra. He is a violinist in the Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City.

Violin background includes a DMA from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has performed in professional orchestras, including the San Diego, Omaha, Birmingham, Huntsville, Lincoln, and Utah Symphonies. He has performed on stage with well know artists from all genres; such as Arthur Fiedler, André Kostelanetz, Glen Cambell, Chet Atkins, Peter Schickle, Peter Nero, Pink Martini, Daniel Heifitz, Chuck Mangioni, Toni Orlando and Dawn, and many others. He has performed and acted in movies with Glen Close, Meatloaf, the famous, young Disney actor, Taj Mari, Skitch Ulrich, Gary Oldham and others. And he has recorded movie scores, for television and theaters, such as "The Iron Giant", "Lydian's Jest", the Walt Disney Move "The Scarecrow", and "Zena, Warrior Princess" episodes.

Dr. Emile currently teaches conducting, orchestration, and various string classes at Utah State University, maintains 20 to 30 private violin students a week and occasionally performs with the Utah Symphony as well as with other professional orchestras in the area.
