Utah Symphony, Anna Rakitina conducting

Arts/Entertainment

The Utah Symphony, known for their musical expertise and deep connection with students and education, come to the USU campus to perform a program selected by conductor Anna Rakitina. This is an amazing offer, gifted by the USU Caine College of the Arts and made available due to contributions from the Tanner Trust for Utah Universities—only $10 for the general public and FREE for USU students, faculty, and staff!

Close out Women’s History Month and join us as conductor Anna Rakitina and violinist William Hagen make their debut on our stage. Hagen, an accomplished international musician, performs Dvorák’s Violin Concerto, inspired by traditional Czech dances and sure to be felt in every limb. Sibelius’ First Symphony is consuming, closing with the passionate Quasi una fantasia (“Like a Fantasy”). Also featuring Smetana’s Šárka—based on the Czech legend of an uprising of women called “The Maiden’s War.”

Grab your tickets while they're available—this is the opportunity of the year!
