Come join the USU Youth Conservatory at our favorite yearly tradition: Monster Concert! Over 200 young pianists throughout Cache Valley and USU piano majors will come together to play music on over 18 pianos in the beautiful Daines Concert Hall. Our favorite YC monster mascot Frankensteinway and pianos galore will leave you and your family with amazing memories that will last forever. We can’t wait to see you there!

This recital invites you to explore the rich and varied soundscapes of 20th-century music for clarinet and piano through the works of Brenno Blauth, Luciano Berio, Bohuslav Martinu, Leonard Bernstein, and Carlos Guastavino. Each composer shaped the musical landscape of their time, merging tradition with innovation and creating works that continue to resonate with modern audiences.

From Blauth’s warm melody textures, Berio’s bold experimentation, and Martinu’s witty charm to Bernstein’s dynamic fusion of classical and jazz and Guastavino’s lyrical and elegant folkloric warmth, join us for an evening where avant-garde meets neoclassicism, popular mingles with classical forms, and tradition and modernity intersect in an exhilarating celebration of 20th-century music.
