Dr. Borja has earned three graduate degrees from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, including a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance, a Master of Music in Flute Performance, and a Master of Music in Musicology. In addition, Dr. Borja holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Principia College.

Pre-Concert Lecture with Dr. Jonathan Borja

Join us for a pre-concert lecture with Dr. Jonathan Borja, guest flute soloist from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. He will discuss the music of Mexican composers, particularly Arturo Rodriguez, whose concerto for Two Flutes and Wind Orchestra will be featured on the 7:30 concert also featuring USU’s own flute professor, Dr. Jeiran Hasan. His performance at USU is generously supported by the Latinx Cultural Center.

Wind Orchestra

The Wind Orchestra, the "flagship ensemble" of the USU Bands, is a 45-member ensemble of the finest wind and percussion players on campus. Each performance includes contemporary wind music, as well as time-tested standard band repertoire. This event will be livestreamed on the CCA YouTube channel.
