Ceramics Guild

The Ceramics Guild has created a long running tradition where students promote the art of ceramics through annual sales and events. Every fall, we kick off the season with our Chili Bowl Sale and come spring semester, the “Mug Your Valentine” sale, is held in February. These sales directly benefit the students as they raise money to help students attend the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), an annual ceramics conference, to make improvements to the shared studio spaces, and to fund visiting artists and workshops. At the end of each semester, the studio opens its doors to the public during our Holiday and Mother’s Day sales where students sell their work from the previous semester. Through these events, the Guild creates a close knit community of artists within the university that promotes students and reaches out to a larger community of ceramic artists.

Printmaking Guild

The Print Guild is a student run organization promoting the art of printmaking within the USU community and beyond. We hold two annual print sales and participate in university-wide community arts events. Print sales are an opportunity for students and faculty of all disciplines to socialize with Print Guild members, purchase prints, and partake in the infamous cornhole tournament. The Print Guild raises money each year to send students to the annual Southern Graphics Council International printmaking conference, where they will have the opportunity to meet other student printmakers, faculty, and contemporary artists.
