Students in the sculpture emphasis area learn hands-on techniques using various methods and tools to express their concepts in three dimensions. Sculpture students have the opportunity to develop their own directions and their knowledge of traditional and contemporary subjects. The sculpture lab has a woodshop in addition to stone carving and metalworking areas. As students become more experienced and proficient they have the opportunity to participate in a stone carving symposium held in Marble, Colorado every summer.
