In Fall 2013, the Caine College of the Arts instituted differential tuition as a way to provide a more valuable college experience to CCA students and control increasing course fees. Students pay $38.19 per academic credit in the Caine College of the Arts, and funds generated from differential tuition have enabled CCA to fund visiting artists, classroom improvements, student travel, matching URCO funds, and many more projects that continue to improve students' personal and academic success. The Dean directs the use of these funds with recommendations and input from the Differential Tuition Advisory Committee, which is comprised of students, faculty, and staff that represent each of the departments in the college.

The Caine College of the Arts also offers the opportunity for any member of the College, including faculty, staff or declared student major, to submit a proposal for differential tuition funding to enhance the experience of students in the college. Applicants are encouraged to read and closely follow the guidelines in preparing their proposals. The Differential Tuition Advisory Committee will review the proposals and make recommendations to the Dean for funding. Proposals are due in November of each year for funding the next fiscal year (beginning the following July).
